FAQ · Flashlights
What's the difference between throw and flood?
Throw is how far a beam reaches; flood is how wide it spreads. A thrower concentrates light into a tight, intense hotspot for distance; a flooder spreads a broad, even wash for close-up work. Most EDC lights aim for a usable middle — a defined hotspot for reach with soft spill for peripheral awareness.
