How do I clean a folding knife?
Open the knife, flush the pivot and blade with warm soapy water or isopropyl alcohol to clear pocket lint and grit, work the action to loosen debris, then dry it fully — compressed air helps. Add a drop of light lubricant to the pivot and wipe the excess. Avoid full disassembly if the maker warns it voids the warranty; most folders clean up fine without it.
